Disability Determination Services Letter

If your Social Security Disability case is pending, you likely received a letter from Disability Determination Services. Like so many offices around the state, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services is practicing social distancing and teleworking whenever possible.

The most important thing to know is that, despite the fact that Disability Determination Services staff are working from home, your case is still in process. As such, it’s possible that you may get a call from your caseworker, and on your phone that call will probably show up as “unknown caller”, “no caller ID”, or “anonymous” instead of a number. If you have any settings on your phone that block unknown callers, make sure to disable that feature so that caseworkers can reach you if they have questions regarding your case.

During this time, processes are going to take a little longer than usual, but rest-assured things are still moving. Of course, if you need help with forms or have questions about anything you’ve received in the mail, feel free to call our office.

Ms. Burke was wonderful through the whole process. She was always available to answer my questions, and to explain what was happening with my case. She is very good at what she does, and a kind, caring person. She won my case!!!!!

Molly is the BEST! She believed in me and my claim and worked so hard to help me prove it. I couldn’t have done this process without her. Great communication skills as well as on top of her game. She handled everything so effortlessly. Thanks again Molly and team. It was so nice to be seen and heard for once during such a tedious process.
Response from the owner:Thank you so much! So glad we got it done!

I can't say enough good things about her! I was recomended to her through a friend and through a case manager through my mental health provider. She helped me get SSI which is great but also took so much of the burden off me with it while I was struggling bad and was kind and thorough and listened well. I was able to do mostly everything through text which really helped with my anxiety and yeah just all around a much easier experience than going through this alone. She also helped me with other legal questions I had about other things and even helped answer some my mom had. Just really good experience, thank you Molly so much <3
Response from the owner:Thank you, Kay! ☺️
